Many years ago I visited London. For a week I stayed with my family in a flat near the dock of a canal on the Thames. In the morning, I was woken up by drums making the rythm for the rowers training on the boats. Near my home there were very beautiful gardens and my first daughter (who was then seven years old) enjoyed running in the paths and flying a smart kite. We had a great time in British capital.
We visited the principal monuments and museums but also suggestive places like Portobello Road, Greenwich, Covent Garden, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. I think that's important to stop at least a little in front of the statue of Peter Pan to reflect on our lost childhood.
There would be no war, no injustice, no thirst for power if we sought the purity of that age. While I was thinking about this and other things, many planes were flying in the sky of London that was always veiled despite the beautiful season. The fly of these planes remembered me that I had to return at home and that every beautiful experience, sooner or later, ends. The memory remains of an extraordinary journey and of a time now very far away.
I was in London too, for a week, many years ago. I was at the Rubens hotel, in front of the stables of Buckingham Palace. Other times!!! Greetings dear.
RispondiEliminaLondon has changed a lot in the last few years. I hope to return to this wonderful city full of art, history and memories. Greetings to you.
EliminaI went in London when I was young, actually there was so much to see. But I feel more at ease in small towns, in fact I adored Windsor.
RispondiEliminaThe small towns are very interesting and wonderful. I think tourists should visit these places. As soon as possible I will tell you about my trip to Cornwall.
EliminaMemories help you live, it's nice to have them and share them with friends
RispondiEliminaWithout memories we cannot built our future. Our projects are founded over our experience.
EliminaVery interesting city also for those like me who don't like big cities. Excellent musical choice : Kate Bush, an exceptional voice.
RispondiEliminaI like big and small cities. For me, just travel and I'm happy. I think this song by Kate Bush effectively describes English atmosphere. Greetings to you.
EliminaUna città tutta da vivere.
RispondiEliminaAffascinante, movimentata, mutevole.
EliminaBuona settimana.Ti aspetto nel mio blog Olga
